In accordance with our self-archiving policy, authors who publish with the Journal of South Asian Exchanges have the following permissions:
Preprint Version: Authors can self-archive the preprint version of their article at any time.
Peer-Reviewed Version: After an embargo period, authors may self-archive the accepted peer-reviewed version.
Postprint Version: Similar to the peer-reviewed version, authors can self-archive the postprint version after the embargo period.
However, please note that we do not allow archiving of the peer-reviewed and final published versions in any third-party repositories. The abstract and metadata, on the other hand, can be shared freely across platforms.
Preprint Version
The submitted version of an article is the author’s version that has not been peer-reviewed, nor has any change been made to it.
Author/s are allowed to upload or post their preprint version on:
- a personal website
- the author’s institutional repository or any website
- any non-commercial preprint repository
There is no embargo period for self-archiving the submitted version. Author/s, however, need to include an acknowledgement of acceptance for publication on the first page:
“This is the pre-peer reviewed version of the article: [FULL CITATION: Article name, author’s name, name of the journal, Vol. No…, Year, link to the article, link to the journal www.rupkatha.com], which has been published after peer review in final version at [Link to final article]. “
Authors are not allowed to update or replace the preprint version with the accepted one or the published one.
Author/s can remove their preprint versions at any time without our consent from any place.
Accepted (peer-reviewed) Version
The accepted version of an article is the version that includes all the changes made after the peer preview. This is distinct from the published version in that it does not include the formatting, citation, linkings and embedded metadata.
Author/s can self-archive the accepted version after an embargo period of one month from the date of publication of the final version.
Authors can post their accepted version in
- the institutional repository only through proper channel.
The version posted must include the following notice on the first page:
“This is the accepted version of the article: [FULL CITATION: Article name, author’s name, name of the journal, Vol. No…, Year, link to the article, link to the journal www.rupkatha.com], which has been published after peer review in final version at [Link to final article]. “
Author/s can remove their accepted version at any time without our consent from any place.
Final Published Version
The final published version is that version which has been posted in the journal with all the changes after peer review, formatting, linkings and embedded metadata.
Author/s can self-archive the final published version after an embargo period of one month from the date of publication of the final version.
Authors can post their final published version in
- the institutional repository only through proper channel.
The version posted must include the following notice on the first page:
“This is the final published version of the article: [FULL CITATION: Article name, author’s name, name of the journal, Vol. No…, Year, link to the article, link to the journal www.rupkatha.com], which has been published after peer review in final version at [Link to final article]. “
Author/s can remove the self-archived final versions at any time without our consent from any place.
